New walls laid from footings right up to roof level, half-bond or stretcher, coursed dead level and pointed neat. Facing brick, block, reclaim and engineering brick, set out plumb and built to take the load. The bread and butter of what RD Construction do across Aberdare and the Cynon Valley.

Full cavity walls built with ties, insulation and weep vents set right, or solid walls where the job calls for it, all coursed level and tied in properly.
Facing brick laid to a tidy bond with consistent joints and a clean strike, picked to match the rest of the house or the look you are after.
Dense and lightweight block for inner skins, garages and structural walls, laid flat and true so the trades that follow have a straight, accurate wall to work to.
We take a wall the whole way, footings, DPC, cavity, lintels and up to wall plate or gable, so one outfit is responsible for the masonry from the ground up.
Yes. Most jobs round here are a mix, blockwork inner skin with a facing brick or rendered block outer skin. We lay the lot, ties and cavity insulation included, all off the same line.
We can. A lot of the terraced stock around Aberdare and Mountain Ash is older brick or stone. We will source a facing brick or reclaim that blends in and lay it to the existing bond so the new work does not stand out.
Yes. Where there is a structural drawing, we build to it, padstones, lintels, wall ties and cavity spec as specified, and we are happy to work alongside the building inspector.
We can dig and pour the footings or build off footings another trade has put in. Either way we set out from the drawings so the brickwork lands square and level.
A straightforward run is usually a day or two once footings are in and cured. We will give you a clear timescale with the quote, weather on the valley tops permitting.
Send a few photos or tell us about the job and we'll give you a straight price, no messing.
